PhenoTyper is a video-based observation system for continuous, automated monitoring
of rodent behavior.

The video output from a PhenoTyper can be fed into a computer that runs EthoVision software,
to measure and analyze the activity and movement displayed by a rodent. For simultaneous screening of behavioral phenotypes, up to 16 PhenoTyper cages can be connected to a single computer that runs EthoVision software.

Thanks to its clever features and flexible configurations, PhenoTyper can be applied for a variety of behavioral test, such as:

• Activity monitoring
• Movement analysis
• Circadian studies
• Home cage testing

The video output can also be converted into media files, to study quick and detailed behaviors with The Observer.
