The PVR-1045 is an ultra-miniature Pressure-Volume Catheter with a catheter tip size of 1F (0.33 mm) and catheter body size of 0.8F (0.27 mm). The smaller diameter minimizes the obstruction of blood flow in the vessel and allows for improved surgical access to the right ventricle, pulmonary artery and peripheral areas in small animals such as mice and rats. It also has 4 electrodes that are spaced 4.5mm apart. Electrode spacing can be customized at no additional cost for mouse or rat applications. The catheter has an effective length of 3.5cm and is reusable, but NOT repairable.

Typical Application
The PVR-1045 ultra-miniature catheter is cable of measuring both left ventricular pressure and volume simultaneously from the intact beating hearts of mice and rats. They may be used in either closed-chest or open-chest surgical procedures as well as in isolated working heart studies.
