Pinnacle has developed a series of wireless potentiostats designed specifically for untethered in vivo use on rats. The 3101 is a one-channel system with 24 bit resolution. The 3102 is a two-channel system with 12 bit resolution. Models 3101S and 3102RH is designed to mount on the rat's head, while the Model 3102BP is designed for use with a jacket on the rat's back or abdomen. The 3101 has a fixed gain and user-programmable constant bias. Gain and bias for the 3102 models are precision set at the factory, and can be configured to match the characteristics of a variety of sensors. The wireless communications link to the Pinnacle Acquisition Laboratory software is provided by the Model 3100RX Basestation.
