The Neurobiology Teaching System is a teaching bundle that offers a PowerLab 2/25 (ML825) together with specific amplifiers and headstages suitable for extracellular or intracellular recordings in neurobiology courses/curriculums. The system includes the Nerve Chamber which is suitable for use with the Earthworm Action Potential and Frog Sciatic Nerve experiments, visit our Education Experiments section for full experimental protocols of these and other experiments. The system is ideal for use with the Crawdad Neurophysiology Experiments. The student experiments are conducted using invertebrates and include making recordings of motor nerve activity, spontaneous reflex activity, stretch receptor function, resting potential as well as measuring synaptic plasticity of neuromuscular preparations. Upgrade Option: An AM3300 Audio Monitor can be added to this teaching system allowing the neurophysiological signals recorded to be converted into sound.
